Please express your interest in the Rich Lab by first filling out the "Express your interest in the Rich Lab" Google Form.
Please remember that the Rich Lab performs computational, "dry lab" research: strong coding skills and mathematics including (at least) integral calculus are necessary tools for this type of research.
If you currently don't have the background described above, it is likely more appropriate to either reach out to other PNB labs and/or wait to express your interest in the Rich Lab until you've built up these foundational skills.
While the lab is no longer actively recruiting postdocs, if you are interested in discussing possible positions with Dr. Rich please fill out the Google Form.
Interested graduate students should apply to the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology. If you are interested in pursuing research with Dr. Rich via his affiliate appointments in the Department of Mathematics or Department of Biomedical Engineering, please reach out to Dr. Rich via e-mail.
Interested undergraduate students should fill out the Google Form, being sure to include an unofficial copy of their transcript. Dr. Rich reviews this regularly and will reach out to discuss potential research opportunities.
P.S.: While ChatGPT and other AI programs are fantastically powerful tools in the right setting, explaining why you're interested in a particular research lab is usually not one of them 😉
